The Rogue Retrieval by Dan Koboldt (ebook)
I finally finished this book! It only took me a few weeks, but I got a lot of reading time in this weekend. Actually I woke up early just to read. The book ended well, the characters are interesting, and I’m eager to find out more about the world and the magic system. I give this book 4 stars, and will probably be getting the next book before too long. There were a few things that bugged me, though. The main thing was the continuous use of the term “clip” when referring to a magazine, by a character that should have known better. The other issues I had with the book were minor and hopefully I can use that annoyance to help me avoid making those mistakes in my own writing. Good book!
Death Masks by Jim Butcher (Audio)
Once again, I’m rereading this series in between new books. Mainly this is a way to make my audible credits last longer, but the series is also amazing. This book has a lot more of Harry putting himself in danger to help others, and exposes him to some new bad guys that are way above his league. How does Harry survive all of this?
Dinosaur Lords by Victor Milan (Paperback)
Progress: Chapter 2
Enough people have told me to check out this book that I decided to finally do it. I’m just starting so I don’t have too much to say on it yet, besides the fact that they use a lot of big names.
Obsidian Son by Shayne Silvers (ebook)
This is a book that was loaned to me by a coworker. He says if I like Dresden Files, then I’ll love this book as well. I’m just getting started, but so far it’s interesting. Although it has more swearing that I’d like, but not too bad.
